Mars appointed Sonali Roy Chowdhury as Chief People & Organisation Officer

Mars has appointed Sonali Roy chowdhury as Chief People and Organisation Officer for the Asia, Middle East, and Africa (AMEA) region. This appointment will strengthen the company’s leadership team at a time of significant business transformation and cultural integration. This appointment reflects Mars’s strategic focus on aligning people capabilities with business goals across diverse regions.

She brings over two decades of experience in global human resources and people leadership. She has held senior roles at major multinational companies, and she has served as Chief Human Resources Officer – AMEA at Kellanova, the company formed from the global spin-off of the former Kellogg Company.

She also served in leadership positions at Procter & Gamble (P&G), including those focused on human resources, supply chain labour relations, organisational development, and global HR leadership. Her work spanned multiple countries, including India, Singapore, and Vietnam, giving her deep insight into multicultural leadership and cross-regional people strategies.

In her academics, she holds a postgraduate degree in Human Resources from XLRI Jamshedpur and has undertaken advanced executive programs at Cornell University and Columbia Business School, equipping her with strategic HR and leadership expertise.

In her new role, she will lead the company’s people and organisation agenda across the AMEA region, focusing on shaping culture, enhancing leadership capabilities, and supporting talent growth to meet evolving business needs. Her appointment aligns with Mars’s broader vision to build high-performing, inclusive teams that can drive long-term growth and value across diverse markets.
