Standard Chartered has appointed Sylvain Huard as Head of Asset Allocation | CIO & Discretionary Portfolio Management. The appointment is a strategic move to strengthen its leadership as the bank continues to expand its discretionary portfolio management capabilities and deliver institutional-grade investment expertise to its wealth management clients.
With over 15+ years of extensive experience in wealth and asset management, with deep expertise in multi-asset portfolio construction, strategic asset allocation, and investment advisory for high-net-worth clients. He has served as a Director, Asset Allocation & HNWI Advisor | Investment Services at BNP Paribas Wealth Management, Associate Director | Advisory Services | Wealth & Asset Management at EY, Market Risk Project Manager | Research & Risk Monitoring Solution Development at Amundi, Hedge Fund Portfolio Manager Assistant | Volatility Arbitrage | EQ, FX & Commo Delta neutral strat at Societe Generale and Treasurer Assistant | IR Swaps Execution at Groupe TF1.
He holds his academic qualification from ESILV – Ecole Supérieure d’Ingénieurs Léonard de Vinci in a Master’s degree, Mathematics and Financial Engineering. In his new role, he will be responsible for driving the strategic and tactical asset allocation framework for Standard Chartered’s discretionary portfolio management business, supporting portfolio construction and enhancing investment decision-making aligned with the bank’s broader wealth management vision.
