Citi strengthens its leadership with the appointment of Fairose Syed and Branzann Chia

Citi has announced the appointments of Fairose Syed and Branzann Chia to senior leadership roles. This strategic move aims to focus on strengthening its leadership capabilities and operational expertise across its financial services operations in Asia.

Fairose Syed has been appointed as Vice President. With over a decade of experience in financial services operations, transformation initiatives, and project management. Over the course of his career, she has served as an Operations Analyst at Daiwa Securities Capital Markets, a Middle Office Analyst, Fixed Income and Equity at CLSA, a Trader Assistant, Equity desk at GIC, an Operations Specialist at Colchester Global Investors Limited, a Business Analyst at HSBC, an Associate Project Manager at JPMorganChase, Manager at Delta Capita, and Senior Business Analyst at Standard Chartered. She holds her academic qualification from the University of London.

Branzann Chia has been appointed as Assistant Vice President. He holds experience in banking operations, client services, and financial market support functions. Throughout his career, he has served as a Manager, Group Strategic Investments at Singtel, and as an Associate Director at UBS. During his professional journey, he contributed to strengthening operational delivery and supporting strategic initiatives within the organisation to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency. He holds his academic qualification from HEC Paris and the National University of Singapore.

In their new roles, they will be responsible for supporting strategic initiatives, strengthening operational frameworks, and enhancing Citi’s service capabilities across key regional business functions. These appointments will strengthen Citi’s leadership structure as the bank continues to enhance operational excellence and deliver integrated financial solutions across its global network of clients and institutions.
