Genetco Oman has appointed Wael Al-Lawati as its Chief Executive Officer. Al Lawati succeeds Dr Muthanna Al Durrah, who led the company for nearly 17 years and significantly strengthened its operations and market presence.

With more than 30 years of leadership experience across oil and gas, tourism, real estate, investments, and corporate transformation, Al Lawati brings a wealth of cross-sector expertise and international perspective to his new role. He has held senior positions at major organisations, including OMRAN, Al Mouj Muscat, Petroleum Development Oman, Majid Al Futtaim, DAMAC Properties, and Muriya Tourism Development, and has worked in over 30 countries.

He shared, “My approach has always been to help companies and people grow and achieve their potential in a dynamic landscape. Genetco’s direction is aligned with government priorities and Oman Vision 2040, and I take on this responsibility with humility and a strong sense of purpose,” shared Lawati.
