Google has appointed Charbel Sarkis as Regional Director – Middle East and North Africa (MENA). This appointment will support the company’s strategic growth and deepen partnerships across the fast-evolving digital landscape of the MENA region.
He brings more than two decades of leadership experience in technology, strategy, and business development. He has held several key commercial and regional leadership roles at Google for more than 14 years, including Country Director – Saudi Arabia and Director for Saudi Arabia and MENA Retail, E-Commerce, and Digital Natives.
He also served in a senior leadership role at Young Arab Leaders, MMA MENA, in5 Dubai, Goldman Sachs, Strategy&, and HSBC. This appointment reflects the company’s commitment to strengthening its regional leadership and expanding its strategic impact in MENA markets.
His academic credentials include an MBA from Harvard Business School, a Master’s in Strategic Management from HEC Paris, and a Bachelor of Engineering from Saint Joseph University of Beirut. In his new role, he will focus on advancing Google’s mission to empower businesses, governments, and innovators across the MENA region with scalable digital solutions, from AI and cloud technologies to digital skills training and economic development initiatives.
