James L Williams Middle East named Joe Gemayel as its new Chief Executive Officer. With nearly two decades of global experience spanning data centers, construction management, large-scale EPC projects and corporate restructuring, Gemayel brings a track record of operational excellence and transformative leadership.
Before joining JLW, Gemayel served as General Manager at Edgnex Data Centers by DAMAC and previously held multiple senior leadership roles at Amazon Web Services (AWS), where he led data center construction management across EMEA and the Middle East & Africa. His experience at AWS included managing high-performance technical teams and delivering mission-critical infrastructure across diverse markets.
His strategic leadership in Algeria transformed the unit into the most profitable in the group, while his broader responsibilities spanned Lebanon, the UAE, Qatar, and Jordan.
Stepping into his new role, Gemayel is set to position JLW as a premier Data Center EPC provider, champion innovation in digital infrastructure, and cultivate strong regional partnerships. His appointment highlights JLW’s commitment to excellence, accelerated growth, and leadership in the Middle East’s evolving data-center ecosystem.
