Kia makes a leadership move with the appointment of Hoo Gon Kim as President of Kia Middle East & Africa (MEA). This appointment will focus on strengthening its competitiveness, customer experience, and long-term growth across one of its key international regions. 

With nearly three decades of global experience at Kia, Hoo Gon Kim brings deep expertise in sales, operations, and multi-market leadership. His professional journey holds the role of senior manager across the Middle East, Asia Pacific, and Europe, as well as strategic assignments supporting Kia’s global operations, including vehicle assembly and regional business development.

Holding a broad international exposure and a strong understanding of complex regional dynamics, he is a suitable fit to lead the next phase of growth for Kia in the MEA region. With excellent leadership skills, Kim will focus on enhancing support for Kia’s key regional partners and building long-term growth capabilities across diverse markets within the Middle East and Africa. 

Kia will significantly emphasise collaboration with the regional partners to deliver innovative mobility solutions and drive sustainable growth in line with Kia’s vision to be a Sustainable Mobility Solutions Provider. This appointment moves his predecessor, SooHang Chang, who will assume the role of President & CEO of Kia Europe, underlining Kia’s broader leadership strategy.
