Marriott International appointed Silvio Rosenberger as Market Vice President for the Maldives. In this position, he will be responsible for oerseeing Mariott’s growing luxury resort portfolio in the Maldives. He will also continue his responsibilities as Vice President of Operations for APAC excluding China.

With a career spanning Europe and Asia, Rosenberger’s background includes senior leadership roles such as General Manager and Managing Director across Hong Kong, South Korea, and Vietnam. His executive experience includes managing high-profile hotels like JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong, W Shanghai – The Bund and JW Marriott Hotel Shanghai at Tomorrow Square.

As he steps into this expanded role, Rosenberger emphasises a leadership style focused on talent development, guest-centric culture and regional collaboration. He will help the Maldives operation align with global brand standards while catering to the unique demands of the resort-market environment.
