Global insurer Manulife announced Ming L. has been appointed as its new Chief Financial Officer for Asia. In this new role, Ming Lau will report directly to Manulife’s Group CFO Colin Simpson, taking charge of the company’s financial strategy and performance across the Asian region.

The appointment comes as Manulife intensifies its focus on strengthening finance operations amid evolving market dynamics and regulatory requirements across Asia. Analysts note that Lau’s background in global banking and strong track record in financial management position him well to steer Manulife’s Asia business through its next growth phase.
