Rohit Markan has been appointed as Executive Vice President – Industrial Solutions for the APAC region at Continental’s industrial business sector, ContiTech. He will be succeeding Hannes Friederichsen. In this new role, Markan will take charge of operations across key markets such as India, China, Australia & New Zealand, Japan, Korea, and Southeast Asia.

As part of ContiTech’s newly formed Executive Management Committee, Markan will play a central role in shaping the strategic direction of the sector ahead of its planned transition to an independent company in 2026. Before joining ContiTech, he had worked with Roquette, Dow Performance Silicones, 3M, and Johnson & Johnson. Markan brings more than 28 years of leadership experience across diverse functions and industries, with proven expertise in sales, marketing, finance, manufacturing, project leadership, innovation management and profitability growth.
