Following her education in Singapore, Ms. Stephanie Anne Pang continued her academic journey in Australia, where training in accounting instilled the discipline and structured approach to problem-solving that continue to guide her leadership today. Those early values became the foundation of a career that has spanned Singapore, Australia, Hong Kong, Guangzhou, and Shanghai — each experience broadening her perspective and reinforcing her ability to navigate complex business environments with sincerity and precision.
Today, as Regional Compliance Director, APAC at Ingram Micro, she champions a business-first approach to compliance. Rather than viewing compliance as a gatekeeping function, she sees it as a strategic enabler that empowers the business to grow confidently while upholding the highest standards of ethics and integrity.
“Regardless of where people come from or the roles they play, they are far more likely to embrace accountability when they understand the purpose behind it and feel included in the conversation. I believe leadership is about listening before leading. It’s important to understand the realities and challenges people face in their day-to-day work and then communicate expectations in a way that is practical and relevant to them. When you take the time to see things from their perspective, you build credibility and create an environment where people feel comfortable speaking openly and taking ownership.”
