RenewableUK has appointed Tara Singh as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective end of February 2026. Her appointment marks a significant leadership addition as the organisation continues to play a central role in advancing the UK’s renewable energy agenda and strengthening industry collaboration during a pivotal phase for the clean energy transition.
With over two decades of strategic leadership experience across government, global energy companies, and public affairs. She has served as Managing Director, Public Policy at Burson, senior leadership roles at Shell, and more. Tara has navigated complex policy landscapes, built strong cross-sector relationships, and driven initiatives that align industry growth with regulatory priorities.
She has completed her graduation degree from the University of Cambridge. Supporting her career across public policy, energy, and strategic leadership. In her new role, she will strengthen collaboration between government and industry, driving growth in clean energy infrastructure, enhancing energy security, and attracting sustained investment that supports jobs and communities nationwide.
As RenewableUK continues to champion the UK’s transition to a more secure and sustainable energy future, Tara’s leadership is expected to play a key role in shaping policy dialogue, strengthening industry confidence, and advancing the organisation’s long-term mission.
