Visa has appointed Gaurav Ramdev as the new Head of Marketing for India and South Asia, reinforcing its leadership at a critical juncture in the region’s digital payments evolution. In this role, Ramdev will be leading India & South Asia business leadership team.
Ramdev joins Visa from Protean eGov Technologies, where he served as Chief Growth & Marketing Officer and led the company’s rebranding and IPO in 2023. His prior experience spans top consumer and fintech brands, including RazorpayX, The Coca-Cola Company (where he led brand marketing for Fanta in India & Southwest Asia), Britannia Industries Limited, Orkla India Group and ITC Limited.
Visa’s digital payments business in India and South Asia continues to expand rapidly, driven by increased adoption of UPI, fintech partnerships and evolving consumer behaviour. With Ramdev’s dual expertise in both consumer brand marketing and fintech partnerships, Visa is positioning itself to strengthen brand relevance, deepen customer engagement and accelerate growth across B2C and B2B segments.
