Barclays Private Bank has appointed Werner Schlossmacher as Asia Chief Operating Officer. This appointment will strengthen the leadership bench as the bank expands its private banking footprint and strengthens operational capabilities across key wealth management hubs in the region.
With over four decades of global wealth management and private banking experience. He began his professional career at Credit Suisse, he spent over three decades, most recently as Global Head of Digital Front Office & Client Interaction Platform. He also served as a Board member at Privé Technologies and GWM Channel and Digital Sales lead; Head Operating Office Digitalization at UBS. During his professional journey, he nurtured his expertise in digital transformation, platform innovation, and operational strategy, having led major initiatives to modernize banking platforms and enhance client experience across Asia, Europe, and global markets.
He holds his academic qualifications from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business in MBA, Business Administration and Management, General. In his new role, he will focus on strengthening operational infrastructure, driving digital transformation, and supporting scalable growth initiatives aligned with the bank’s vision of delivering world-class wealth management solutions to private banking clients across Asia.
His appointment reflects his proven leadership in driving innovation and operational excellence. His appointment will scale the organisation’s private banking platform and establish a new booking centre in Singapore to support long-term regional growth.
