Johnson Controls has appointed Susan Hughes as Vice President & President, Asia Pacific. This aims at building regional leadership amid strong growth opportunities across the Asia Pacific.
With over two decades of diverse operating experience across sales, marketing, service, engineering, and manufacturing, she brings deep expertise to her new position. She most recently served as Global President, Flow at Emerson, delivering sustained growth across a wide range of markets through strong commercial execution and lifecycle services. During her 20-year career at Emerson, she held leadership roles across multiple business units.
She holds an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis – Olin Business School and bachelor’s degrees from Grinnell College. In her new role at Johnson Controls, she will be responsible for strengthening execution, accelerating growth opportunities, and enhancing customer value delivery throughout the Asia Pacific region. She will strategise to support teams in operational and commercial initiatives that align with the company’s strategy, as the Asia Pacific region continues to represent a significant growth opportunity.
Her appointment reflects the company’s commitment to strengthening leadership capability, enhancing regional execution, and driving sustained growth across one of its most strategic markets. The company will focus on delivering enhanced value for customers, enabling teams, and accelerating its presence in the Asia Pacific’s evolving building technology and services landscape.
