J.P. Morgan Private Bank welcomes Selim Elgen as Managing Director and Market Head for the United Arab Emirates. Selim is a seasoned private banking professional with a 30-plus-year tenure at Citigroup. He joins the bank’s Dubai office, where he will be leading service offerings to ultra-high-net-worth clients and family offices across the UAE and the broader Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
Throughout his previous roles at Citigroup, Selim has led multiple leadership roles in private banking operations across Russia, Central and Eastern Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. At J.P. Morgan, he will channel that global experience into cultivating strategic relationships and delivering wealth solutions. His appointment reflects the bank’s drive to scale regional capabilities and capitalise on the influx of wealth, favourable regulatory frameworks, and client interest in sophisticated wealth-planning services.
